It allows users to upload files, build knowledge bases, and chat with their data through a web interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gp-gutenbergpro-f0ae7\"><strong>1.&nbsp; Using the RAGFlow application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gp-gutenbergpro-81138\"><strong>1.1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Finding and launching the application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gp-gutenbergpro-38d7b\">Go to the UCloud application page and use the search function to find RAGFlow. (e.g., \u201cRAGFlow Demo 1\u201d).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Specify how many hours you want the job to run. Choose enough time for startup, document upload, indexing, and use of the application.<a href=\"#_msocom_1\">[JR1]<\/a><a href=\"#_msocom_2\">[RM2]<\/a><ul><li>Hours can be allocated later while the job is running on the job page.Startup typically takes around 5 minutes. It can take longer when downloading models, based on their size and download speed.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dataset creation can take at least 10 minutes depending on uploaded file size and embedding model.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Choose a machine:<\/strong> We recommend using a machine with a GPU. To have this resource available, use \u201cApply for resources\u201d and apply for a UCloud project with a GPU allocation. The app and its service require at least 16 GB of memory, however using LLMs increases memory consumption based on the model size, thus make sure the machine has 16 GB + (LLM size) GB of memory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional folders to use:<\/strong> Include files to mount them in the job\u2019s filesystem at `\/work\/`. These files can be accessed on terminal, but they are <strong>not directly accessible from the RAGFlow web interface<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data directory:<\/strong><br>The data directory is a mandatory parameter used to preserve RAGFlow data between jobs. When you run the app for the first time, create an empty directory in your UCloud drive and select it as your data directory. Avoid <strong>spaces<\/strong> in the directory name (e.g., \u201cmy directory\u201d) as this can cause issues with directory tree creation when starting the app (this will be fixed in future app update)<ul><li>If a new empty data directory is provided, RAGFlow automatically creates the required folder structure.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If an existing non-empty data directory is provided, RAGFlow reuses the stored data from previous jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gp-gutenbergpro-207f6\">This makes it possible to keep your configuration and data across sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select Ollama model:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gp-gutenbergpro-0b4d1\">Select an Ollama model to use with RAGFlow. If the model is not already available, it will be downloaded automatically when the job starts. This option provides a convenient way for downloading models without needing to use the terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Models stored in the persistent data directory or imported using the \u201cImport Ollama models\u201d option can be reused in future jobs without downloading.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If this option is not used, the only other way to add models is by using the terminal (described later). Once it\u2019s ready, click the&nbsp;<strong>Open interface<\/strong> button to launch the RAGFlow application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>Startup can take a few minutes, so it is recommended to start the application some time before you plan to use it. This URL needs to always be entered when adding Ollama models.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Finally, enter the number of max tokens, which specify the maximum number of tokens the model can process in a single request. Select the \u201cGeneral\u201d parsing method as it works well in most cases. When uploaded, files will appear in the table on the dataset page.<ul><li>The \u201cParse\u201d column contains the parsing method. It can be changed by clicking on the method name (e.g., \u201cgeneral\u201d) and then clicking on \u201cIngestion pipeline\u201d.
